RESOLUTION NO, !j'tJ!i"
WHEREAS, the owners of not less than 75% in value, according
to the assessed value for general taxation, of the property
hereinafter described, have petitioned the City Council of the
City of Kent to have said described property annexed by the
City of Kent; and
WHEREAS, said petition is accompanied by a plat which outlines
the boundaries of the property sought to be annexed and,
WHEREAS,_ the petition sets forth a description of the
property according to government legal subdivisions or legal
plats, and
WHEREAS, the property sought to be annexed is described as
follows.:
(l)Those portions of Section 25, Township 22 north, Range 4 East,
W.M., described as follows: Government Lot 2; ALSO Government
Lot 3; ALSO Government Lot 4; ALSO Government Lot 6; ALSO
Government Lot 15; ALSO that portion of S.W.Russell
Donation Claim in said Section 25 not already in the City and
lying West of the West R/W line of the Chicago, Milwaukee,
St. Paul and Pacific Railroad.
ALSO That portion of the S. W. Russell Dontion Claim in said
Section 25 not akeady in the City and lying East of the West
R/W line of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific
Railroad and North of the North R/W line of South 258th Street.
ALSO That portion of the T"loses Kirkland Donation Claim in
said Section 25 lying vJest of the West R/W line of the Chicago,
Milwaukie, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad.
ALSO that portion of the John M. Thomas Donation Claim in
said Section 25 lying West of the West R/W line of the Chicago,
Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad.
(2) Those portions of Section 36, Township 22 north, Range 4 East,
W.M., described as follows: Government Lot 12; ALSO that
portion of the John M. Thomas Donation Claim in said Section
36 lying West of the West R/W line of the Chicago, Milwaukee,
st. Paul and Pacific Railroad.
(3) That portion of Section 26, Township 22 north, Range 4 east,
W.M., described as follows: That portion of the Moses Kirkland
Donation Clain1 in said Section 26 lying East of the center
line of SSH 5-M. .
(4) ALSO any streets included within the aboye desGribed, lands,,,
27 but not specificaly described.therein.
28 WHEREAS, the said described land lies in an unincorporated
29 area of the county and is contiguous to the City of Kent;
10 IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED that Monday, the 16th. day of Februaw,
31 :1959, is fixed as the day and the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m. is
32 ~ixed as the time, and the council chambers of the City Hall of
the City of Kent is fixed as the place, for hearing on said

petition, and all persons interested are invited to appear and
voice approval or disapproval of the proposed annexation of the
said property to the City of Kent.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk give due and
legal notice of said hearing as required by law.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL in regular meeting assembled this
19th day of January, 1959. ,
