A RESOLUTIUN,
RESOLUTIUN 1'10.
pursuant to Subsection 3, Section 3 of Chapter It,
Laws of the State of Washington, Extraordinary
Session 1955, amending RCW 41.48.030, that the
Governor be requested to authorize a referendum
election as provided therein.

KENT as follows:
SECTION 1-That the Governor be requested.to
authorize a referendum pursuant to Subsection 3, Section 3 of
Chapter 4, Laws of the State of Washington, Extra ordinary Session
1955, amending RCW 41.48.030, for the purpose of submitting to
the City of Kent employee members of the Statewide Gity Employees
Retirement System the adoption of a proposed plan of the board of
trustees of said Statewide City Employees' Retirement System,
providing for toordination of the benefits of Federal O.A.S.L.
coverage with the benefits provided by the Statewide City Employees'
Retirement System with a reductliuim of t\'TO percent in the present
contribution rate to the said System, and in the event said plan
is adopted the City Gouncil is 11ereby authorized to ent·er into
appropriate agreements with the t:mployment Security Department
and the Board of Trustees of the 0tatewide Gity .t<.:mployees .Retire-
ment 0ystem to implement said plan, the coverage provided by said
plan to be effect,ive as of July l, 1956, with 100% prior sernce
credits.
SECTlUN 11 -The above mentioned agreement with the
Employment Security Department may contain provision for payment
by City of Kent to the .t<.:mployment Security Department of the
Prorated share of the costs of administering Social Security
allocable to City of Kent.
