HomeMy WebLinkAbout3591 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT IN REGULAR
2 MEETING ASSEMBLED:
3 1. That the City Council deems it necessary for the public
~ health that sanitary sewers and necessary accessories for the
5 disposal of sewage be constructed to improve the property herein-
6 after described;
7 2. That the City Council does hereby declare its intention
a of improving the following described property, to-wit:
9 (a) All of Mer~ie Hill Addition to the City of Kent except
that portion lying north of a line parallel to and
10 165 feet south of the center line of Chicago Street;
11 (b) Lots 1 and 2, 15 to 2Q, inclusive, and 33 to 41,

inclusive of Stonecrest Addition;
(c) That portion of the southeast quarter of the southwest
quarter of Section 19, Township 22 north, range 5
east, W.M., lying east of vacated Alexander Avenue,
south and west of Stonecrest Addition to the City
of Kent, and north of a line parallel to and 85 feet
south of the south line of Filbert Street;
16 by the construction and laying of a sanitary sewage system and
17 accessories thereto, on and in the streets abutting said property,
18 and by doing such other work as may be necessary in connection
19 with said sewerage system, all in accordance with plans and
20 specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and to be
21 approved by the City Council.
22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all persons who may desire to be
23 heard or to object to said improvement are hereby notified to
24 appear and present such objection at a meeting of the City
25 Council to be held in the Council Chambers of the City Hall of
26 the City of Kent at 8:00 o'clock P.M., on the 2nd day of April,
27 1956, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing on
28 all matters relating to said improvement, and all objections
29 thereto, and for determining a method for payment of the same.
30 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk and the City
31 Engineer are directed to submit to the City Council, at or prior
32 to said,date and time, all data and information required by law

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the cost and expense of said
improvement shall be borne by and assessed against the property
specially benefitted thereby and that it is the present intention
of the Council to provide that said costs shall be borne by and
assessed against said property in proportion to the lineal
footage of width across the front of the different lots and
parcels improved.
I hereby certify that the within and foregoing resolution
was passed by the City Council of the City of Kent, washington,
in regular meeting thereof, held in the City Hall of the City
of Kent at 8:00 o'clock P.M., on the 5th day of March, 1956.
