RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION of the City of Kent, Washington,
encouraging the submission and application· for a
low rent housing program for the Citizens of the
City of Kent. · ·
WHEREAS, the City of Kent, a municipality of the third class of the
State of Wash~ngton, has found and hereby determines that there is a need for
.·low rent housi.ng to meet needs not being adequately met by private enterprise
;)within its City Limits;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED
KENT, WASHINGTON AS FOLLOWS:
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY

:I The City Clerk shall cause a cert·ified copy of this Resolution to be I

prepared and sent to the Housi.ng Authority of the County of King, Washi.ngton, I
!encouraging applications for dwelli.ng units to be provided by leasi.ng privately/
I I owned housi.ng under Section 23 of the United States Housing Act of 1937, as 1
I
!amended. Said dwelli.ng units are to be safe, sanitary, and decent in compliance!

!with all laws, includ~ng the local Ordinances of the City of Kent.
