RESOLUTION NO.
1 WHEREAS, on the 7th day of October, 1963, pursuant
2 to Ordinance No. 1217, the City Council of the City of Kent
3 authorized and directed that the following described real property
4 be acquired by the City of Kent by condemnation or purchase by
5 negotiation for the purpose of extending Woodford Avenue which
a is in the City of Kent, Washington; and
7 WHEREAS, the City Attorney has now reported to have
8 negotiated a purchase of said real property; and
9 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Kent, after
10 study and discussion, finds that the terms of said purchase
11 are fair and for a proper municipal purpose and in the best
12 interests of the health and welfare of the citizens of the City
13 of Kent;
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
15 the City of Kent in a regular meeting, duly assembled, that the
16 purchase by negotiation under the threat of condemnation of the
17 following described parcels of real property, all located in the
18 City of Kent, County of King, State of Washington, to-wit:

The East 60 feet of the North 59 feet of the
South 860.47 feet of the West 581.60 feet of
that portion of the Southeast quarter of the
Soqtheast quarter of Section 13, Township 22
North, Range 4 East W.M., in King County,
Washington, lying East of the East line of
Central Avenue, as conveyed by deed recorded
under Auditor's file No. 119338.
The East 60 feet of the North 59 feet of the
South 978.47 feet of the West 581.60 feet of
that portion of the Southeast quarter of the
Southeast quarter of Section 13, Township 22
North, Range 4 East W.M., in King County,
Washington, lying East of the East line of
Central Avenue, as conveyed by deed recorded
under Auditor's File No. 119338.
hereby verified and approved; and be it further
31 RESOLVED that the consideration glven for the purchase
32 y the City of Kent of the above described real property which is

1 hereafter recited, to-wit:
2 (a) $100.00 cash.
3 (b) The City of Kent will, at no expense to
said property owners, extend Woodford Avenue to the
4 Kent demorial Park site, making said road comparable
in quality to the present Woodford Avenue, with ade-
5 quate drainage and lighting.
a (c) If the proper owner so desires, the City
of Kent will install a woven wire fence on the pro-
7 perty line, which will be the West line of the ~cod
ford Avenue road extension.

9 are hereby ratified and approved; and be it further

11 RESOLVED that the City Clerk is authorized and directed
12 to herewith record a copy of this Resolution along with the proper
13 Deeds to the above described parcels of real property in the
14 office of the King County Auditor and to pay for the tax stamps
15 thereon and the filing fees therefor.
