1 A RESOLUTION of the City of Kent declaring the intention of the City Council
2 to improve certain street and avenues in the City by the construction and
3 installation of water mains and appurtenances and fixing a time and date for
4 a hearing on thia resolution.
5 BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Kent as follows:
6 Section 1. Tha.t it ia the intention of the City Council of the City of Kent to
7 order the improvem•nt of the following described streets and avenues within
8 the City by the construction and installation of the following described water

Section 2. For the reason that the installation of the. water mains des•
cribed in Section l of this Resolution will be of special benefit to certain
properties, it is the intention of the City Council to levy assessment to pay
in part the coat of such improvement and that work necessary in connection
therewith and incidental thereto on all properties located within the follow-
ing boundarie •·

Beginning at a point on the North Une of s. 258th St. 150 feet West of the
West line of South First Avenue; thence North aprallel to tho West Une of
South Firat Avenue 424.79 feet; thence Eaat parallel to the North line of
s. 258th St. to the East line of South Fi:ret Avenue; tW.nce South along the
East Une of s. 258th St. to the North line of S. 258th St; thence East along
the North Une of s. 258th St. to the East Une. of the N.P. Ry R/Wt-thence
North along the N.P. Ry R/W a distance of 136 feet; thence East para.Uel

Section 3. The estimated cost of the installation of the above described
improvements and the ·doing of all work necessary in connection and incid·
ental thereto is hereby declared to be approximately ($58, 022. 77) and it is
the intention of the City Council that such cost of the improvements be borne i

in part by the City of Kent and in part by assessments levied in the manner I
required by law upon the real properties benefited by the proposed improve ... ·

Section 4. The City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City
Council at or prior to the date fixed for the hearing on this resolution a

statement of the estimated cost and expense of such improvements, the por .. l

tion thereof that should be borne by the property within the proposed district,•
a statement in detail of the local improvement district assessments out-

standing and unpaid against the property in the local improvement district,
and all other data and information required by law to be so submitted. j!
Section 5. All persons who may desire to be heard Qr object to the forma ..
tion of such district are hereby notified to appear and present such objection

to a meeting of the Kent City Council to be held in the Council Chamber of
the City Hall of Kent at 8:00 PM on July 6, 1964, which time and place are
hereby fixed for hearing of matters relating to said proposed improvement
and all objections thereto and for qetermining the method of paying said
improvements.

The City Clerk and City Engineer are hereby dir8._cted to prepare and give

notice of such hearing in the manner required by law.
