1 WHEREAS, the City of Kent has made an application under
2 ;Application No. 3123 to the State of Washington Department of
3 ;'Highways for a franchise for the installation of water line for
4 ,the City of Kent upon certain highways and across certain highways
5 of the State of Washington; and
6 WHEREAS, a franchise performance bond in the sum of Two-
7 jthousand ($2,000.00)Dollars must be provided to the State of
I
8 ~ashington by the City of Kent; and
9 WHEREAS, General Insurance Company of America is willing
10 to furnish such a bond, for an agreed premium, upon the authorized
11 execution by the Mayor and the City Clerk of the City of Kent of
12 said company's application form No. s~6, and the indemnity agree-
13 ment thereon, and the fiOfliChise bond,
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
15 CITY OF KENT in regular meeting assembled:
16 That the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Kent be and
17 they are hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of
18 the City of Kent General Insurance Company of America Bond
19 Application Form S-6, together with the indemnity agreement
20 thereon, and they are further authorized and directed to execute
21 on behalf of the City said franchise bond to the State of washing-
22 on in the sum of Two-thousand ($2,000.00) Dollars, uponcits
23 reparation and delivery by the said company to the City for
