11 BE IT R.ESuLVED by the City Council oi' tne City of .t'~.ent as follows:

~~ Section lo That it is the intention o.r the City Council of the City of
:1 Kent to order the improvement of the following described streets and avenues

within the City by the construction and installation of the following des-
cribed improvements:
.t:ly the installation oi' curbs and gutters, storm drains, catch basins,
ballast, crushed stone suboase, aspi1altic concrete paving and necessary
and incidental appurtenances thereto on Guiberson Street from Kennebeck

Avenue to Van de Vanter Avenue.
Section 2. For the reo.son that the installation of the street improvements!.
!i described in Section l of this Resolution will be ol' special benefit to

:; certain properties, it is the intention oi' the City Council to levy assessment
~~ to pay in part the cost of such improvement and that work necessary in

l! connection therewith and incidental thereto on all properties located within

Beginning at a point in the l'west line of the SWt:; of Sec. 19, T22N, R5E,
w1~., said point being on a line drawn Bast and West through the NW
corner of Lot 7, Block 6, and the Nl!: corner of Lot 8, Block 8, 1'/CI Co. 1 s
Knob Hill Addn. as recorded in Vol. 5, of Plats, page 97, Hecords of
King County, ~Jashington, and running tnence easterly along said iast-west
line to the center line of Van de Vanter Ave.; thence South along the
center line of Van de Vanter Ave. to its intersection with the South
line projected East oJ Lots 7 and 22, Block ll, wiGl Co 1 s Knob Hill Addn.;
thence w·est along said South line of Lots 7 and 22 to the SW corner of.
said Lot 22; thence South along the West line of Lot 21, said Block 11,
to the SW corner thereof; thence West in a straight line to ti:1e Sl!: corner
of Lot 12, Block 13, said \~GI Co 1 s !mob Hill Addn. ; thence North along
the East line of said Lot 12, to the HE corner thereof; thence ~~est
along the North line of said Lot 12 and the North line extended west
to the lvest line of aforementioned SVvij; of Sec. 19; thence 1\iorth along
said West line of the SW1;; to the point of beginning.
Section 3. The estimated cost of the installation of the above described
improvements and the doing of all work necessary in connection and incidental
, thereto is hereby declared to be approximately (;ui !C 1'-Jj, t.f ) and it

ilis the intention of the City Council that such cost of the improvements be
!lborne in part by the City of Kent and in part by assessments levied in the
lmanner required by law upon the real properties benefited by the proposed

1 Section 4o The City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City
2 Council at or prior to the date fixed for the hearine, on this resolution a
3 statement of the estimated cost and expense oJ such improvements, the portion
4 thereof that should be borne by the property within tne proposed district,
5 a statement in detail of the local improvement district assessments out-
6 standing and unpaid against the property in the local improvement district,
7 and all other data and information required by law to be so submitted.
8 Section 5. All persons who may desire to be heard or object to the
9 formation of such district are hereby notified to appear and present .. such
10 objections to a meeting of the Kent City Council to be held in tne Council
11 Chamber of the City Hall of Kent at 8:00 Ph on January 16, 1961, which time
12 and place are hereby fixed for hearing of matters relating to said proposed
13 improvement and all objections thereto and for determining tne method of
14 paying said improvements.
15 The City Clerk and City Engineer are hereby directed to prepare and
16 give notice of such hearing in the manner required by law.
17 PASSED BY the Council of the City of Kent at its regular meeting this
18 5th day of December, 1960o
