A RESOLUTION of the City Council of
the City of Kent, Washington, supporting
Cascade Sewer District's application for
grants to plan, design and construct Spring-
brook Sewer Trunk.
WHEREAS, Cascade Sewer District has applied for funding
to plan, design and construct the Springbrook Sewer Trunk, and
WHEREAS, said sewer trunk would have the capability of
serving a large area including property both within and without
the City of Kent, and
WHEREAS, some of the area within the City which could
be served by the trunk has a current history of septic tank fail-
ures, and certain other property has been posted as unfit for
occupancy by the Seattle, King County Health Department, and
WHEREAS, the PSGC Environmental Policy Advisory Committee
has recommended that funds be granted for initial planning and
preparation of an environmental impact assessment, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DOES
HEREBY
RESOLVE:
1. That the City of Kent be on record as in support of
the grant application submitted to EPA and DOE by Cascade Sewer
District for planning, designing and constructing the Springbrook
Sewer Trunk.
2. That the Director of Public Works be and he hereby
is authorized to forward a copy of this Resolution to the appro-
priate agencies involved in the review of the grant application.
PASSED at a regular meeting of the Kent City Council
this day of February, 1975.
