• A RESOLUTION of the City Council of •
the City of Kent, Washington, declaring its
intention to improve a part of the City by
the construction and installation of asphal-
tic concrete surface on 84th Avenu~ South to
provide four (4) through traffic lanes with
a fifth (5th} lane to provide a two-way left
turn lane and channelization and signalization
at South 212th Street and South 228th Street,
together with the construction and installa-
tion of curbs and gutters, storm drains, il-
lumination and underground power; and to create
a Local Improvement District to assess the cost
and expense of carrying out such improvement
against the properties specially benefited
thereby; and notifying all persons who desire
to object to the project to appear and pre~
sent their objections at a meeting of the
City Council to be held on December 20, 1971.
BE.IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Kent,
Washington as follows:
Section 1. It is the intention of the Council of the
City of Kent, Washington, to order the improvement of the property
within the City of Kent, Washington described in Exhibit A, attached
hereto and by this reference made a part hereof, by the construction
and installation of asphaltic concrete surface on 84th Avenue South
to provide four (4) thr?ugh traffic lanes with a fifth (5th} lane
to provide a two-way left turn lane and the channelization and
signalization at South 212th Street and South 228th Street, together
with the construction and installation of curbs and gutters, storm
drains, illumination and underground power . .
Section 2. The total estimated cost and expense of the
improvement is declared to be ONE MILLION, ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND
(1,100,000} DOLLARS. The City anticipates receiving grants in
the estimated amount of NINE HUNDRED THIRTY-SIX THOUSAND, FOUR
HUNDRED (936,400} DOLLARS to pay part of the improvement and

anticipates that the City shall pay an additional part of the
cost of the improvement from other monies available for that
purpose, the amount thereof to be determined at the time the
Ordinance ordering the improvement is adopted. The balance of the
actual cost and expense of the improvement (after applying the
grants and the City's payment), now estimated to be SIXTY SEVEN
THOUSAND (67,000) DOLLARS, shall be borne by and assessed against
the properties specially benefited by such improvement to be in-
cluded in a Local Improvement District to be established embracing
as near as may be all properties specially benefited by such im-
provement.
Section 3. All persons who may desire to object to
the improvement herein described are hereby notified to appear
and to present such objections to the Kent City Council at a
regular meeting of December 20, 1971, at 7 o'clock p.m. (PST),
in the City Council Chambers at the Kent City Hall.
Section 4. Hill, Ingman, Chase and Company, consulting
engineers, are hereby directed to submit to the City Council on
or prior to December 20, 1971, all data and information required
by law to be submitted.
The foregoing RESOLUTION was adopted by the City Council
of the City of Kent, Washington and approved by the Mayor at a
regular meeting thereof this 15th day of November, 1971.

Thence Easterly along said South margin to its intersection with
a line 642.00 feet Easterly of and parallel with the West line

Thence Southerly along said parallel line to its intersection

Thence continuing Southerly along a line 642.00 feet Easterly of
