RESOLUTION NO. ;;s.s
A resolution of the Kent city Council providing
for the formation of a task force to study and make
recommendations on extending recycling service to
commercial, industrial and multi-family customers.
WHEREAS, the Kent City Council is on record as
supporting recycling as an effective alternative method of dealing
with waste disposal, and
WHEREAS, Kent is sponsoring a recycling program for
single family homes, and
WHEREAS, commercial, industrial and multi-family
developments contribute to the waste stream and could benefit from
recycling,
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Kent City
Council:
Section 1. There is hereby created a Recycling Task
Force which shall study and recommend to the Council the
alternative methods by which recycling services can be extended
throughout the city to include commercial, industrial
and multi-family customers.
Section 2. The Recycling Task Force shall be
composed of City Council members, and members of the business
community to be appointed by the Mayor with
confirmation by the City Council.
Section 3. The Recycling Task Force shall study
this issue and report it•s findings to the City Council within six
months after formation.
