A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the
City of Kent, Washington, amending the Kent
Comprehensive Plan/East Hill Subarea Plan,
designating approximately eight acres of
property generally located at 23431 112th
Avenue S.E., commonly known as the LeBlanc
Gardens, from Single Family designation (four
to six units per acre) to Multifamily (seven to
twelve units per acre). (LeBlanc Gardens
Comprehensive Plan Amendment)
WHEREAS, on July 26, 1984 a request was made by Leo
LeBlanc, the owner of property described below, to revise the Kent
East Hill Subarea Plan, to designate the property located 23431
112th Avenue S.E., more particularly described as:
The South half of the Northwest quarter of
the Southeast quarter of Section 17, Township
22 North, Range 5 East, W.M. in King County,
Washington~ Together with half of 112th Avenue
Southeast Right of Way adjoining on the East
and less that Portion Platted Park Orchard.
from Single Family (four to six units per acre) to Multifamily
(seven to twelve units per acre)~ and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of Chapter
35A.63 of the Revised Code of Washington, hearings were held
before the Planning Commission of the City of Kent to consider the
amendment~ and
WHEREAS, after the final hearing of the Planning
Commission on February 26, 1985 and final deliberations of the
Planning Commission on that date, the Planning Commission
recommended that the designation of the above-described property
be amended from Single Family (four to six units per acre) to
Multifamily (seven to twelve units per acre) and forwarded that
recommendation to the City Council for adoption~ and
WHEREAS, the City Council considered the recommendation
of the Planning Commission, and the staff report of the Kent
Planning Department~ and
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public meeting on the
proposed plan amendment on March 18, 1985 and following said
meeting adopted the recommendation of the Planning Commission~ NOW
THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Kent Comprehensive Plan and East Hill
Subarea Plan is hereby amended to redesignate the property
generally located at 23431 ll2th Avenue s.E. and more particularly
described as:
The South half of the Northwest quarter of
the Southeast quarter of Section 17, Township
22 North, Range 5 East, W.M. in King County,
Washington; Together with half of ll2th Avenue
Southeast Right of Way adjoining on the East
and less that Portion Platted Park Orchard.
from Single Family (four to six units per acre) to Multifamily
(seven to twelve units per acre) and the associated map amendments
attached hereto as Exhibit A are incorporated therein by reference
as if fully set forth.
Section 2. The amendment to the Kent Comprehensive Plan
and East Hill Subarea Plan and associated map amendments shall be
filed with the City Clerk and in the Office of the Planning
Department and shall be made available for public inspection upon
request.
Passed at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Kent Washington this /&Tday of April 1985.
