RESOLUTION NO. /0/..3
A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of
Kent, Washington, declaring its intention to order
the improvement of an area lying both within and
outside the City by the installation of watermains
and related appurtenances and to create a local
improvement district to assess a part of the cost and
expense of carrying out such improvements against the
properties specially benefited thereby, and notifying
all persons who desire to object to the improvements
to appear and present their objections at a hearing
before the City Council to be held on May 21, 1984.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT,
WASHINGTON, as follows:
Section 1. It is the intention of the City Council of the
City of Kent, Washington, to order the improvement of the prop-
erties within an area lying both inside and outside the City's
corporate limits, described respectively as "Unit A" and "Unit
B" in Exhibit A, attached hereto and by this reference made a
part hereof, by the installation of watermains and related
appurtenances described in Exhibit B, attached hereto and by
this reference made a part hereof.
All of the foregoing improvements shall be in accordance
with the plans and specifications therefor prepared by the
Public Works Department of the City and may be modified by the
City as long as such modification does not affect the purpose of
the improvement.
Section 2. The total estimated cost and expense of the
improvements for Unit A are declared to be $229,625.24 and
approximately $129,240.60 of such cost and expense shall be paid
by the City and the balance of the actual cost and expense shall
be borne by and assessed against the property in Unit A
specially benefited by such improvements to be included in the
local improvement district to be established embracing as nearly
as practicable all the property specially benefited by the
improvements. The total estimated cost and expense of the
improvements for Unit B are declared to be $8,159.44 and approx-
imately $4,592.40 of such cost and expense shall be paid by the
City and the balance of the actual cost and expense shall be
borne by and assessed against the property in Unit B specially
benefited by such improvements to be included in the local
improvement district to be established embracing as nearly as
practicable all the property specially benefited by the
improvements.
Section 3. All persons who may desire to object to the
improvements described herein are notified to appear and present
such objections at a hearing before the City Council to be held
in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in Kent, Washington,
at J:oD -(f2·m· on May 21, 1984, which time and place are fixed
for hearing all matters relating to the proposed improvements
and all objections thereto and for determining the method of
payment for those improvements. Any person who may desire to
file a written protest with the City Council may do so within
thirty days after the date of passage of the ordinance ordering
the improvement in the event the local improvement district is
formed. Such written protest should be signed by the property
owner and should include the legal description of the property
for which the protest is filed and such protest should be
delivered to the City Clerk.
Section 4. The City's Director of Public Works is directed
to submit to the City Council on or prior to May 21, 1984, all
data and information required by law to be submitted.

The foregoing resolution was ADOPTED by the City Council of
the City of Kent, Washington, at a regular open public meeting
thereof this 16th day of April, 1984.
