RESOLUTION NO. /00.}
A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of
Kent, Washington, declaring its intention to order
the improvement of Woodland Way from Reiten Road to
Walnut Street and to create a local improvement
district to assess a part of the cost and expense of
carrying out such improvements against the properties
specially benefited thereby, and notifying all
persons who desire to object to the improvements to
appear and present their objections at a hearing
before the City Council to be held on September!~
1983.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT,
WASHINGTON, as follows:
Section 1. It is the intention of the City Council of the
City of Kent, Washington, to order the improvement of the
properties within the area described in Exhibit A, attached
hereto and by this reference made a part hereof, by the widening
of Woodland Way from Reiten Road to Walnut Street to 32 feet,
installing curbs and gutters, installing a new storm drainage
system, and related appurtenances.
Section 2. The total estimated cost and expense of the
improvements is declared to be $188,625 and approximately
$25,000 of such cost and expense shall be paid by the City and
the balance thereof shall be borne by and assessed against the
property specially benefited by such improvements to be included
in a local improvement district to be established embracing as
nearly as practicable all the property specially benefited by
the improvements.
Section 3. All persons who may desire to object to the
improvements described herein are notified to appear and present
such objections at a hearing before the City Council to be held
in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in Kent, Washington, at
7:oo p.m. on September 1 Cf 1983, which time and place are
fixed for hearing all matters relating to the proposed improve-
ments and all objections thereto and for determining the method
of payment for those improvements. All persons who may desire
to object thereto should appear and present their objections at
such hearing. Any person who may desire to file a written
protest with the City Council may do so within thirty days after
the date of passage of the ordinance ordering the improvement in
the event the local improvement district is formed. Such
written protest should be signed by the property owner and
should include the legal description of the property for which
the protest is filed and such protest should be delivered to the
City Clerk.
Section 4. The City's Director of Public Works is directed
to submit to the City Council on or prior to September 20, 1983,
all data and information required by law to be submitted.
The foregoing resolution was ADOPTED by the City Council of
the City of Kent, Washington, at a regular open public meeting
thereof this first day of August, 1983.

LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 312
NOTICE OF PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT AND HEARING THEREON
NOTICE IS GIVEN that the City of Kent, Washington (the
"City"), pursuant to Resolution No. !oo/ adopted August 1,
1983, declared its intention to initiate the formation of Local
Improvement District No. 312 to widen Woodland Way from Reiten
Road to Walnut Street to 32 feet, to install curbs and gutters
and to install a new storm drainage system, and to assess a part
of the cost and expense of such improvement against the property
in such district specially benefited thereby.
The total cost of the improvement is estimated to be
$188,625, approximately $25,000 of which cost and expense shall
be paid by the City and the balance thereof shall be borne by
and assessed against the properties specially benefited by such
improvement to be included within the proposed local improvement
district to be established embracing as nearly as practicable
all property specially benefited by such improvement.
The public hearing upon the proposed improvement will be
held before the City Council of the City to be held in the
Council Chambers in the City Hall, 220 S. 4th Avenue, Kent,
Washington, at p.m., local time, on September 19
1983.
All persons desiring to object to the improvement and
formation of the local improvement district are notified to
appear and present such objections at such hearing. If the City
Council shall elect to pass an ordinance forming the local
improvement district, the owners of property within the local
improvement district shall have a period of thirty (30) days
from and after the date of passage of such ordinance to file
with the City Clerk a written protest to the ordering of the
improvement. Such protest should be signed by the property
owner and should state the property by address. lot and block or
other appropriate description.
Below are shown the estimated benefits to. and assessments
against. the property herein listed of which you are shown on
the rolls of the Director of the Officer of Finance of King
County to be the owner.
