A RESOLUTION of the City of Kent 1
Washington/ regarding the vacation of an
unopened alley south of Saar Street between
Second and Third Avenues/ as petitioned for by
Corporation of the Catholic Archbishop of
Seattle/ the owner of at least two-thirds of
the property abutting the portion of the
unopened alley sought to be vacated/ and
setting the public hearing on the proposed
street vacation for April 5, 1994.

WHEREAS/ a proper petition has been filed by the
Corporation of the Catholic Archbishop of Seattle/ owner of at
least two-thirds of the property abutting an unopened alley south
of Saar Street between Second and Third Avenues in the City of
Kent 1 King County/ Washington; NOW 1 THEREFORE 1
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT 1 WASHINGTON DOES
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. A public hearing on the street vacation
petition submitted by the Corporation of the Catholic Archbishop of
Seattle (attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by
this reference) shall be held at a regular meeting of the Kent City
Council at 7:00 p.m. 1 Tuesday 1 April 5 1 1994 in the Council
Chambers of City Hall located at 220 4th Avenue South 1 Kent 1
Washington/ 98032.
Section 2. The City Clerk shall give proper notice of
the hearing and cause the notice to be posted as provided by law.
Section 3. The Planning director shall obtain the
necessary approval or rejection or other information from the
Public Works Department and other appropriate departments and shall
transmit information to the Council so that the Council may
consider the matter at its regularly scheduled meeting on
April 5, 1994.

In order to complete King County recording showing removal of lot I ines
in block 9 of Yesler 1s First Addition to the city of Kent" in connection with
proposed new church building, the Corporation of the Cath~lic Archbishop
of Seattle petitions the City of Kent to vacate the strip of land described
above and in return the corporation wi II put on record the forma I conveyance
of a ten foot wide easement for sanitary sewer as outlined in the attached
site plan (survey).
Sufficient proof, copy of deed contract etc. supported by King ~ounty
