Mayor White called the meeting to order at 3 : 05 p.m.
Approval of Minutes . Grubbs moved to approve the minutes
of the March 7, 2000 meeting. Jacober seconded and the
motion carried.
Approval of February Financial Transactions. Hillman
distributed copies of the February financial transactions
and noted that there has been very little change . He said
some of the pool money was moved to Federal National
Mortgage, and the yield is better. He added that it
matures in November. Grubbs moved to accept the February
financial report . Jacober seconded and the motion carried.
Other Business - Retros. Hoopes noted that the retros have
been completed.
Other Business - Election. Jacober noted that Grubbs' term
expires this year and that it is time for an election.
Other Business - LEOFF 1 . Upon the Mayor' s question,
Grubbs explained his understanding of new legislation
relating to LEOFF 1 retirees . The Mayor noted that he will
receive more information on this later.
Other Business - Pay Rate. Grubbs noted for Hoopes that
there should be no problem regarding Bryant' s pay rate .
Other Business - New Rates. Hoopes noted that she has the
new rates for comparison for April, and that LEOFF has
increased their rates by 3 . 1% .
Adjournment. The meeting adjourned at 3 : 10 p.m.
