MONDAY, MARCH 2S, 1966
The March meeting of the Firemen 's Pension Board was called to order
at i1 :00 a.m. by Chairman Mayor Alex Thornton, Board members presen''r.'
m- City Clerk, Marie Jensen, Don Bridge and James Small , Chief Fosi'er was
also in attendance.
The secretary reported that she had checked with the City Attorney and
had ascertained that the Firemen's Pension Fund could pay the coverage
on the fireman and he in turn would- pay for his dependents. It was noted
that the firemen had met with representatives of King County Medical, as
well as with Group Health, and had unanimously derided that the plan offered
_- by Group health .would best suit their situation.
+ Bridge moved for $ 11 .50 per month, per fireman 112) to be paid to Group
Health from the Pension Fund and for each roan to make arrangements with
the city's bookkeeper to havepayroll deductions made for his dependents
if he so desired. Notion seconded by Small and carried unanimously.
The City Clerk was asked to inform the street light committee that a spot
light mounted on top of the fire station would not meet the departments
needs, as well as a mercury vapor light on a standard. ' There was no further
business on the agenda and the meeting was adjourned° at 11 :30 a.m.
