JUCY 7, 1966
The July meeting of the Firemen's Pension Board was called to order-
_. _ at 3.00 p.m. by Chairman Alex Thornton. Present, in addition was,

City Clerk Marie Jensen and Board Members, James Small & Don Bridge.
It was noted by Marie Jensen that the City Treasurer had advised the
Board that the Firemen's Pension Fund now contained $ 13,000.00 and
recommended that some of the monies be invested. A motion was made,
seconded and passed to authorize the City Treasurer to invest $ 10,000.00
of these funds.
The members requested that they be furnished with a monthly statement as
to how much money is contained in the Pension Fund. The secretary stated
she would provide same.
It was noted by Small that the firemen should have a supply of various forms
to submit to the board when they are on sick time, accident, injury, doctor's
reports, etc. The secretary reported that she had just secured some samples
of same from the City of Renton and would forward to the fire station for
comments. When forms for Kent are devised, the secretary will see to the
printing of same.
It was noted for the record that Firemen Small was disabled and his wages
were paid out of pension funds for six days in June and that Firemen Sims
® was disabled and paid out of pension funds for 7 days in May and for the
entire month of June.
There was no further business and the meeting adjourned at 3:30 p.m.
