FIREMEN'S PENSION BOARD MEETING
DECEMBER 2, 1966
The meeting of the Firemen's Pension Board convened at 11 :30 a.m. in
Kent City Hall . Present: Mayor Alex Thornton, M. L. Armstrong, Don Bridge,
James Smail and Marie Jensen.
It was moved by Jensen that the Firemen's Pension Fund purchase taste€ -F12�
$ 1000.00 LID 246 bonds as an investment. Seconded by Armstrong. Under dis-
cussion, it was explained that the bonds pay 50 interest and are transferrable.
It was also explained that the bonds have been accruing interest since February
15th, 1966, which interest shall be paid to date by the purchaser. Motion
carried unanimously.
Discussion was had upon the report by the Virginia Mason Clinic on the physical
condition of Alvin Simms. It was moved by Jensen, seconded by Armstrong to have
the secretary send a letter to Doctor Brawn of Group Health requesting that a
myelogram test be performed on Simms with a report on the result to be forwarders
to the Board. Notion carried unanimously.
