Fleeting of the Firemen ' s Pension Board was called to

, order at 4 : 35 P.m, at the Main Fire .Station . Present :
Board Members Armstrong , Jensen , Bridge and Berg.
V„� In Mayor Thornton ' s absence , Member Armstrong acted as
Chairman .

Chairman Armstrong stated the purpose of the meeting :
to review the medical history reports on Alvin Simms .
" It was determined that Mr. Simms , at the request of the
Firemen ' s Pension Board and in accordance with the rules
` of the Firefighter ' s Pension Board , had repently been
re-examined by Dr. Brawn of the Group Health Clinic .
• Dr. Brawn ' s report was forwarded to the Board and was
read aloud , stating that no organic reason could be found
., for Simm ' s disability and .suggesting that future assessments
of his condition be made by a Psychiatrist'. e-
It was noted that the Board had never received a report
on a Ayelogram which was run on Simms at the Group Health
Clinic . By motion unanimously passed , the Secretary was
hF instructed to write to Dr . Brawn to request a copy of the
results of the Myelogram and that it be forwarded to the
per Board . It was explained that Group Health had informed
the Secretary that an initial referral and evaluation by
„A their Psychiatrist would be covered by the existing contract ,
" but that subsequent treatment would not be covered. It
was decided that the Board would delay having Simm' s report
to the Psychiatrist until the result of the Myelogram could
be examined by the Board . 'There being no further business
C to discuss , the meeting was adjourned at 5 : 15 p.m.
