r FIREMEN'S PENSION BOARD MEETING � '-
NOVEMSER 3, 1972
A meeting of the Firemen's Pension Board was called to order at 9:30 A.M.
by the Chairman, Mayor Isabel Hogan, Members present : Capt Berg and
Secretary Jensen. Also present was City Treasurer Drotz.
The Secretary noted that on August 7th the Board had authorized the City
Treasurer to purchase a note in lieu of bonds for approximately $50,000
at 6%, in connection with LID 261 . She pointed out that the Council had
since decided to combine LID 261 with LID 272, for which a combined bond
Issue was authorized. The note in lieu .of bonds was, therefore, not issued.
It was noted by the secretary that former City of Kent fireman James Luby
has requested that the monies he had contributed to the Firemen's Relief
and Pension Fund be refunded to him, plus the accrued Interest. The
figures are as follows.

Mayor Hogan moved for the City Treasurer to issue Luby 6 check In the
amount of $ 1 ,313.73.

Jensen seconded, motion carried.
The City Treasurer reported on the status of the Firemen;s Relief and Pension
Fund as of October 31 , 1972, as follows:
Cash on hand $ 5, 125. 17

Total $243,423.30
