FIREMENS PENSION BOARD
October 15, 1973
A telephone meeting of the Firemen's Pension Board
was held today for the express purpose of approving
payment of $500 , Funeral Expense Benefit, for Fire-
fighter Chris McKay.
It was explained ' th�tsince the late Mr. McKay' was a
Kent Fireman prior to the passage of the LEFF act, his
estate is eligible for this benefit which is to be paid
ig
from the Kent Firemen ' s Pension Fund.
With the approval of the Finance Director, Fire Chief
Foster has recommended that the $500 be paid directly
to the Brookside Mortuary, 9212 Chambers Creek Road West,
Tacoma, to be applied to their bill . Firefighter Orndorff
moved to approve the $500 payment as described above ,
Councilman Elliott seconded , motion carried unanimously,
with Secretary Jensen and Mayor Hogan concurring. (Board
Member Captain Bridge was out of town) .
