Boardmembers Present: Jon Johnson, Mary Berg, Gene Grenstad,
Brenda Jacober, Alternate Sam Grubbs
Others Present: Laurie Murray, Brigitte Hoopes
The meeting was called to order at 4 : 00 p.m.
Approval of Minutes. Berg moved to approve the minutes of the
meeting of November 6, 1996 . Grenstad seconded and the motion
carried.
Approval of October Financial Transactions. Murray outlined the
packet of financial information for October which was distributed
with the agenda. There were no questions and Berg moved to
accept the October financial transactions. Grenstad seconded and
the motion carried.
Mutual Fund Investments. Murray noted that a substantial amount
of information has been received and asked that this item be
tabled until the next meeting to allow more time to prepare a
report. There was no objection and it was so ordered.
Retirement Benefits - Berg. Hoopes questioned whether Berg
should receive 4% or 5% longevity. Berg explained that according
to law, he should receive 50% of the current salary for the
Battalion Chief plus longevity, and that Battalion Chief
longevity is 5% . After discussion, it was agreed that Berg
should receive 5% longevity.
Adjournment. There was no further business and the meeting
adjourned at 4 : 15 p.m.
