HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Committees - Fireman's Relief and Pension Board - 02/01/2000 Firemen' s Relief & Pension Board February 1, 2000 Boardmembers Present : Al Bond, Sam Grubbs, Brenda Jacober Others Present : John Hillman, Brigitte Hoopes Grubbs called the meeting to order at 3 :22 p.m. Approval of Minutes. Bond moved to approve the minutes of the January 4 , 2000 meeting. Grubbs seconded and the motion carried. Approval of December Financial Transactions . Hillman distributed copies of the December financial transactions and explained that total assets are down due to the sale of mutual funds . He clarified that most of those funds were put into government agencies . Bond moved to accept the financial report as presented. Grubbs seconded and the motion carried. Other Business - Actuarial Study.. Upon Grubbs' question, Hillman stated that the actuarial study will cost approxi- mately $2700, and that it will take approximately six weeks . other Business - Retros. Hoopes distributed copies of the Comparison of Benefits 01-01-99 through 3-31-99 and explained the changes and rates . She proposed paying the new January rate for the next payroll , and after review, making adjustments on the following payroll . Bond so moved. Grubbs seconded and the motion carried. Grubbs moved to accept the Comparison of Benefits . Jacober seconded and the motion carried. It was agreed that Hoopes would be contacted after review of the documents . Adjournment.
