Board Members Present : Jim White, Al Bond, Rico Yingling,
Brenda Jacober
Others Present : John Hillman
Mayor White called the meeting to order at 3 : 35 p.m.
Approval of Minutes . Bond moved to accept the minutes of
the meetings of March 5 and April 16, 2002 , as presented.
Yingling seconded and the motion carried.
Approval of January, February, March, April and May
Financial Transactions . Hillman distributed copies of the
financial transactions for the first five months of the
year. Bond moved to accept the financial transactions .
Yingling seconded and the motion carried.
Operating Policies Revision. Jacober distributed copies of
the Operating Policies Section 4 . 1 as proposed, which
includes wording reflecting that the Board shall regularly
meet on a quarterly basis . Yingling moved that the
proposed revision to the Operating Policies of the
Firemen ' s Relief and Pension Board be approved. Bond
seconded and the motion carried.
Board Position No. 1 Election Results . Jacober reported
that Sam Grubbs has been unanimously elected to fill Board
Position No . 1 for a two year term.
Alternate Firefighter Board Position Election. Bond agreed
to look into this issue.
Other Business - CPI . Jacober distributed copies of a memo
from Brigette Hoopes regarding the CPI and noted that the
percentage rate is 3 . 12 .
Other Business - Fire Contract. It was noted that a
special meeting could be called after the contract is
settled.

Distribution of Funds . Jacober noted receipt of a letter
from the State of Washington showing that Kent ' s portion of
the money received from fire insurance premiums this year
is $76, 960 . 18 . A brief discussion was held regarding the
origin and purpose of these funds .
Adjournment. At 3 :45 p.m. , Yingling moved to adjourn.
Bond seconded and the motion carried.
