HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Committees - Fireman's Relief and Pension Board - 04/06/2004 Firemen's Relief & Pension Board April 6, 2004 Board Members Present: Tim Clark, Al Bond (via Telephone), Brenda Jacober Others Present: Brigitte Hoopes, Bonnie Fell I Councilmember Tim Clark called the meeting to order at 3:55 p.m. Approval of Minutes. Clark moved to accept the minutes of the meetings of January 6 and 27, 2004, as presented. Jacober seconded and the motion carried. Approval of September, October, November & December 2003, Financial Transactions. Fell mentioned that there was a difference of over $4,000 from last year from $3,669,515 to $3,665,172 due to low interest income and fair market value. Clark moved to approve the financial transactions. Jacober seconded and the motion carried. Election for Board Position No. 1 — Information Only. Jacober noted that a yearly election is held for one of the board positions, and that an election will be held by mail. LEOFF 1 Adiustments. Hoopes explained the salary changes and noted that Higgins has requested a change to his beneficiary. Bond moved to table this issue to the next meeting. Clark seconded and the motion carried. Hoopes agreed to research the LEOFF payment and all concurred that she will use the regular LEOFF amount for now. Bond then moved to approve the new comparison rates. Clark seconded and the motion carried. CPI Rate. Hoopes mentioned that the minimum CPI increase is 2%. Clark moved to approve the 2% increase. Bond seconded and the motion carried. Other Business.
