Firemen's Relief & Pension Board

Board Members Present: Suzette Cooke, Albert Bond, Sam Grubbs, Brenda
Jacober
Others Present: Bonnie Fell, Kathleen Etheredge
Mayor Cooke called the meeting to order at 3:32 p.m.
Minutes. Grubbs moved to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of
October 2, 2007. Bond seconded and the motion carried.
Financial Transactions. Fell distributed copies of the September, October
and November 2007 financial transactions, noted that the only thing that has
changed is the market value, and said the fund is in good shape. She noted
that retained earnings are $18,000 over last year's, and that expenses and
interest are stable. Grubbs moved to accept the financial transactions for
September, October and November 2007. Bond seconded and the motion
carried.
Fell announced that an actuarial study is needed this year and that Paula
Barry in Finance will make the necessary contacts.
Cost of Living Allowance. Etheredge noted that the Firefighter's contract
has not been settled, so the cost of living allowance increase will have to be
retroactive. It was agreed that a letter will be sent to those affected
informing them of the delay.
Other Business. There was no further business to come before the Board.
Adiournment. The meeting adjourned at 3:40 p.m.
