FIREMEN' S RELIEF & PENSION BOARD
September 6, 1995

Boardmembers Present: Berg, Johnson, Grenstad, Jacober
Others Present: Laurie Murray, John Hillman, Brigitte Hoopes
Approval of Minutes. Johnson moved to approve the minutes of the
meeting of June 7 , 1995 . Grenstad seconded and the motion
carried.
Approval of Financial Transactions. Murray distributed document-
ation of the financial transactions for June and July. She
outlined the transactions, and Johnson moved to approve them.
Grenstad seconded and the motion carried.
CPI Policy. Jacober noted that this policy was discussed at the
meeting of June 7th, at which time a draft was requested. she
distributed copies of the proposed policy. Johnson moved to
approve the policy as drafted. Grenstad seconded and the motion
carried.
JULY 1st SALARY CHANGES. Murray distributed copies of salary
changes for non-duty retirees and widows. Hoopes noted that
others received a COLA from the union on July 1st. She explained
the rates and allowances shown on the handout. It was clarified
that the new policy was used to determine the CPI . Grenstad
moved to approve the cost of living adjustment per the RCW.
Johnson seconded and the motion carried.
INVESTMENTS. Murray noted that there is money in the Putnam Fund
and that a book on the Putnam Fund has been received. It was
determined that Murray will forward the book to Gary Tilley.
There was no further business and the meeting adjourned at 9 : 15
a.m.
