This is to notify you that the Land Use and Planning Board will hold a Workshop
on MONDAY, AUGUST 11, 2014. The workshop will be held in Kent City Hall,
City Council Chambers, 220 Fourth Avenue S, Kent, WA at 7:00 P.M.
No public testimony is taken at workshops, although the public is welcome to
attend. The workshop agenda will include the following item(s):
1. COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE
Introduction to the Comprehensive Plan Update, the schedule, and the public
outreach activities in progress.

RE: Comprehensive Plan Update
For the August 11, 2014 Workshop
The City is scheduled to complete an update to the Kent Comprehensive Plan (the
Plan) by June 30, 2015. The update will include all elements in the Plan, refresh
the current conditions and trends, integrate recent planning initiatives, and comply
with state, regional and local mandates. It's a significant undertaking with a tight
timeline for completion. Ultimately it is hoped the Plan will be a user-friendly
document with a clear direction for achieving Kent's vision to the year 2035.
At the August 111h Land Use and Planning Board workshop, staff will introduce the
update, the schedule, and the public outreach activities that are in progress.
