LAND USE & PLANNING BOARD
MINUTES
JANUARY 23, 2012
Land Use & Planning Board Members Vice Chair Jack Ottini, Steve Dowell,
Navdeep Gill, Alan Gray, Jack Ottini, Barbara Phillips, Randall Smith, and Jim
Sturgul.
Vice Chair Ottini called the special meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
City Staff Fred Satterstrom, Charlene Anderson, David Galazin
3. Approval of Minutes
Board member Dowell Moved and Board member Phillips Seconded a
Motion to approve the November 28, 2011 Minutes. Motion PASSED 7-0.
4. Added Items-- None
S. Communications - None
6. Notice of Upcoming Meetings
Planning Manager Charlene Anderson encouraged the Board members to register to
attend a workshop on planning and building transit-oriented communities
sponsored by Futurewise and GGLO (a Pacific Northwest architecture/design firm).
The workshop will be held on February 2, 2012 at the University of Washington
Tacoma.
7. Nomination and Election of Officers
Vice Chair Ottini opened the floor for nomination and election of officers.
Member Dowell moved and Member Smith seconded a Motion to nominate Alan
Gray as Chair. Motion passed 7-0 with Member Ottini declaring Alan Gray as the
newly elected Chair of the Land Use and Planning Board.
Member Dowell moved and Member Smith seconded a Motion to nominate Barbara
Phillips as Vice Chair. Motion passed 7-0 with Member Ottini declaring Barbara
Phillips as the newly elected Vice Chair of the Land Use and Planning Board.
Adiournment
Seeing no further business to come before the Board newly elected Chair Alan Gray
adjourned the special meeting at 7:25 pm.
