MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF MARCH 25, 1965
Tukwila City Hall
Meeting was called to order at 8:05 P.M. by President Bob Wing. A motion from the
membership to dispense with the minutes of the previous meeting passed.
Hal Hagestad reported on tests being run on flooding the Green River at 7,000 second
feet. During this flooding, an aerial survey was made of the river. Warren Gonnason
was absent but sent his report that no new developments appeared at this time on
Valley flood control.
President Wing reported that Stewart Neel is completing the industrial surveys of the
four cities which will be assembled and ready to print by our next meeting.
President Wing also called attention to the legislative hearing on South King County
traffic problems.
Glen Sherwood presented the principal discussion of the evening covering the pro-
posed Cross Valley Freeway and its intersection with the Valley Freeway. Other
Valley highway problems were mentioned including setback requirements for future
righ-of-way purposes, and requirements for curbs, gutters, and sidewalks. The
four city engineers were requested to write their present city requirements on state
and county roads within the city limits and present them for consolidation.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:35 p.m.
