DECEMBER 19, 1968
RENTON, WASHINGTON
The meeting was called to order by President Gordon Hall.
A report of the forthcoming seminar to be held at the
Green River College, was given by Gordon Gould and Gordon
Ericksen.
Representatives Paul Barden, Gary Grant, Avery Garrett
and Senator John Stender were guest speakers for the
evening. Some of the items discussed during the evening
were;
1 , Annexation Legislation
2. Money for the cities
3. Railroad grade crossing studies
4. Support of Sub-regional Planning Bodies
There were many interesting questions asked regarding all
the above subjects.
Mr. Ronald Thompson, the new VRPC Coordinator, was introduced
by Mr. Gene Williams, Chairman of the Personnel Committee.
Mr. Thompson will begin working for the Valley Regional
Planning Commission the 1st of January 1969.
The Next General meeting will be held January 23, 1969
at Puget Sound Governmental Conference Facilities at
Colman Ferry Terminal in Seattle, Washington.
