EXCUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING
MINUTES
NOVEMBER 15, 1967
KENT , WASHINGTON
The meeting was brought to order by Ken Weeks, President of
VRPC , at 12:30 P.M. at the Reef Restaurant, Kent, Washington.
First on the agenda was the subject of the VISTA REPORT, that
was given at the October 26th meeting. Each member felt there
were certain areas that required improvement in the plan. It
was decided to have Mr. Glen Sherwood, contact each: City EngineEr
Member , and have them review the plan. Each City could state
their individual points of interest or dissatisfaction of the
plan as it now stands. It was recommended if at all possible
have a brief report ready by the December 7th meeting. A more
comprehensive report would be due on the following meeting of
January 25th. VRPC would consider and review all aspects of the
VISTA REPORT at this time . A statement would then be made , re-
garding recommendations to be made.
Mr. Gordon Hall, moved to hire a CPA to audit the books for VRPC .
Mr. Sam Julson, a CPA in Auburn, has agreed to review the books
and set up a suitable bookeeping system to be followed. It was
recommended and approved to bill each City for their dues in
January. In June , VRPCowill review and request final payment Cr
alloutstanding oblications. VRPC will also convert to the cal-
endar year, to agree with the budget of each City.
The Executive Committee voted that two (2) signatures will now
be required on all checks issued by VRPC. The name of any two
of the ;.following may sign checks: The President , Ken Weeks, the
Vice-President , Jan Klippert , or the Secretary-Treasurer, Gordon Hall.
Noel Bicknell has arranged to have a speqer for FORWARD THRUST
for the December 7th meething. The name bf the speaker will be
included in the card circulated in advance of the next meeting.
The Next meeting of the VRPC will be held on December 70 1967 at
8:00 P.M. in the Kent City Hall Council Chambers, Kent, Washington.
The January 25th meeting will be devoted to discussing future
projects to be considered for the new year of VRPC. ALSO— to
see if more interest can be brought into each meeting to establish
a better .meane of exFhanging information regarding items of mutual
interest. There will be discussions with each individual com-
mittee regarding their plane for the coming year.
The meeting adjourned at 2:0U P.M.
