HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Committees - Planning and Economic Development Committee - 11/19/1968 VALLEY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMISSION EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING NOVEMBER 19, 1968 -- 7:30 A .M. The meeting was called to order at 7:45 A.M. Minutes were approved as received. Mr. Hall regretfully announced Robert Wing had submitted his resignation from the Valley Regional Planning Commission. Mr. Van Hoose presented a format for the Job Description to be used in selecting the person to be hired part-time as a Coordinator for the VRPC. Mr. Gene Williams will interview prospective applicants within the next few days. He will then submit the three best qualified for the position, to the Executive Committee at the December 3rd meeting. Mr. Joe Lightfoot, Executive Secretary to the Boundary Review Board, will be the Guest Speaker at the November 21st General Meeting of the VRPC, to be held in Auburn City Hall . Mr. Lightfoot announced he would present maps of all the Water Districts, Fire Districts, and Sewer Districts for the area of the Valley Regional Planning Commission. These will then be put on individual over- lay maps in the VRPC office. Mr. Jan Klippert suggested inviting the Legislators to attend the General Meeting in December. This would enable the Valley Cities to become aware of the legislative program and exchange views with the Legislators, before they convene in Olympia in January. Mr. Gould gave a brief report regarding the forthcoming series of Seminar Meetings. He suggested Helen Irwin be available to attend any future meetings in order to take Minutes of the meetings . This was agreed by all present . Attending were: Gordon Hall , Jan Klippert, Gordon Gould, Dave Van Hoose, Iry Iverson, Francis Pugh, Gene Williams and Baldwin Sammis.
