M., at the Hungry Wolf Restaurant in Renton, Washington , September 11, 1968. Those present were Gene Williams, Jan Klippert, Gordon Hall, Lyle Sandelius, Gordon Gould, • Frank Zepp, Frank Pugh, Noel Bicknell, Baldwin Sammis, Herb Vetter and Helen Irwin. Serious concern was expressed by the attendees regarding the possibility of anything less than full budget support by member cities for the 1969 VRPC budget. A lease, for now office spaco was si.7,rled.. This will provide larger and more convient office facilities for the Valley Regional Planning Commission. Furniture for the new office will be leased with option to buy. The new office is located in the Titus Building 232 South 2nd St., Suite 201, Kent, Washington. The office will be opened September 23, 1968 and operated by Mrs. Irwin, pending further staff expansion. Gene Williams reported the Personnel Committee has sent notices of the job description for the executive director to the Mayors of all the cities west of the Cascades. He has received several application from interested persons. The position has also been advertised in all the local papers. Selection of an executive director will be made after the approval of the 1969 budget by the respective cities. A list of the proposed projects to be considorod and work— ed on by the VRPC, was presented by Jan Klipp�rt and Gordon Hall. Among them were the studies of Forward Thrust, Rail— road Crossing Study, Health District, Annexation Legislation, Employment Study Program, Boundary Review, Cities Utility Coding, and Industrial Land Use. These as well as other studies will be undertaken and carried out as soon as the Valley Regional Planning Commission is able to hire a full time staff to be able to follow through with each project. The General Meeting will be held September 26, 1968 at Tukwila City Hall, Tukwila, Washington. The meeting will convene at 7:30 with election being held at 8:00 P.M. Respectfully submitted, Gordon L.
