VALLEY REGIORAL PLAKING COMMISSION
EXECUTIVE COMMI:TOE
MEETING
JUNE 49 1968
The meeting was held at the Hungry Wolf Restrurant -- Renton, Washington.
Those in attendance were Iry Iverson, `obert tiding, Gene 4illiam, bon
Cowles, President Kon leeks, Gordon Hall and Chairman Jan Klippert.
A study was made to expand the present membership and support the
projected outline presentation to the Vall,cy Regional Planning Uommissiom
members on May 23, 1968* This is a first step in strengthing the VRPC
in its council of Governmental concept. It is oxpected that additional
Governmental units will be invited to participato in the futhre.
The idea was explored to decrease the number of members from ench
municaplly as this would require a change in By-Laws , no action was
taken.
iL. Bob king made a maotion, which was 2nd by Gordon hall, that the
Executivo Corrmitt.;e crate and associate a membership classified to
provide representatives of School District, Public Utilities, Railroads,
Bell ' olephone, Vashington natural Gas Company and the Chambers of
Commerce to participate in the Valley Regional Planning Commission.
President Meeks, directed Jan Klippert and Gordon Hall to prepare the
presentation which will be given to the city councils. The VRPC member-
ship will preview this at the June 27, 1968 meeting.
The next meeting will be held in the Tukwila City Hall, Tukwila, Washington
at 7:30 P.M.
