Francis Pugh Pacific Ted Smiley Valley Publishing Clark Teegarden Renton Iry Iverson opened the meeting at 5: 15 pm. The PAW conference was discussed; all information regarding the conference will be gathered by Gordon Gould by the next Board Meeting. The Board wants to know just what part VRPC plays in co-sponsoring the PAW conference. The meeting was turned over to Ken Cottingham (E . ,S . I . ) to discuss the rail crossing study. Ken felt that it was unfortunate that they were in a position to talk to the papers. He said that the study report in preliminary form was submitted to the VRPC and the railroads for review. Assuming the VRPC takes issue on the report, Ken said that E. I.S. I. will go back and check the facts and make the corrections if necessary. Don Crew called and wanted a copy of the report. Gordon Gould asked if he could have one at this time. Ken said that it was agreeable that the papers could come into the VRPC office and look at a copy but none were to be given out . Don Eide suggested that we notify the papers so that it they want they can look at our copy. Ted Smiley will pass the word on to the papers . It was then discussed if everything was on schedule and if our time agreed with E . I .S. I. Is . Iry said that he received a call from Robin Montgomery who informed him that the VRPC ' s contribution was $5,000 short (this is about on schedule) . r Page two The time factor was discussed - - are we going to have enough time? Gordon Gould added that by May llth that he will have a summary to find out if we need additional time on the rail crossing study. Ken needs at least 30 days for printing purposes. There will be another board meeting May 11th at 5:00. Iry Iverson said that he had received a call from Mayor Minkler concerning using their City Attorney in the Titus Building Suit . Mayor Minkler said that a conference call was going to be set up between the cities regarding this matter. As of this time nobody knows the date on which the call will take place. Don Eide received a settlement of $1 ,962.60 from C. Genis. Don made admissions and he received comments. Iry said that he would contact Wes Hodge (City Attorney for Tukwila) about the Titus Building Suit. Gordon Gould said that Jack Hammack should have the report on our audit in a couple of days. If this is received before the next Board Meeting, there will be an advance meeting.
