Executive Board Meeting - July 22, 1969 - VRPC Office
Attending: Gordon Hall , Clark Teegarden, Gordon Gould and
Iry Iverson.
Meeting called to order at 5:30 P.M.
The budget for the year of 1970 was presented. Total
estimate of the 1970 budget is $27,050.00. A move to accept
this budget and present it to King County and the Mayor$
and Councils of the member cities, was made by Gordon Hall .
Seconded by Mr. Iverson. Carried
Letters, along with maps, have been sent to the four rail
roads of the Valley area, to indicate the information nee:',.-'
fcr the Railroad Crossing Safety Study. These will lam:
presented along with a brief report, at the next general
meeting, by Ken Cottingham.
A request has been made by the City of Renton, for the VRPC
to conduct a study and present recommendations to the Valley
Cities regarding the 911 Emergency Telephone System. Letters
have been sent to the member cities asking concurrence.
This woule be funded by the Puget Sound Governmental Conference,
with no extra cost to the cities.
A study has been made by the University of Pennsylvania,
for the conservation of the river 3randywine, in Pennsylvania.
This would be similar to the study being made by the VRPC
for the Green River. Gordon Gould has been asked to study
this report and have a report ready for the general meeting.
Gordon Gould was asked to prepare a time completion Chart,
fir each study being made, by the 14th of August. Each
Chairman will receive a copy of this chart.
Clark Teegarden has been asked to prepare a six month sch•edUle
of meeting in advance. He has requested suggestion for sp-' 1?;ers
to present.
The next Executive Board meeting will be held August 5th at the
VRPC office at 5:30 P.M.
