HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Committees - Economic Development Corporation - 11/04/1985 (3) CITY OF KENT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION November 4, 1985 A special meeting of the Economic Development Corporation was called to order by Chairman of the Board, Tim Leahy, at 6:50 p.m. on November 4, 1985. Present: BOARD MEMBERS: Tim Leahy Tom Bailey Berne Biteman OFFICERS: P. Stephen DiJulio, General Counsel Marie Jensen, Secretary of the Board ALSO PRESENT: Dick Cushing, City Administrator Bailey moved to approve the minutes of the following meetings: Regular Meeting of August 1 , 1985 Special Meeting of September 3, 1985 Special Meeting of September 9, 1985 Special Meeting of September 30, 1985 Biteman seconded, and the motion carried. LANDRY RESOLUTION DiJulio note tat the bank for the applicant had not completed the work necessary for the bond resolution to be acted upon at this meeting. He asked that the Board call a special meeting for November 18, 1985 at 6:30 p.m. to consider the Landry Resolution and resolutions for other applicants if the proper paperwork is completed. NATIONAL LEAGUE OF CITIES Cushing noted that t e City would like to have a booth at the National League of Cities and that expenses for buttons, brochures, etc. would have to be approved by the Board. It was suggested that this could be done at the regular meeting of November 7. Bailey noted he would not be available for that meeting. It was determined that the City could cosponsor the event with the Economic Development Corporation, and the City could order the material and be reimbursed by the EDC. Cushing suggested that the request from Seattle King County Economic Development Council for continued funding also be considered at the November 18 meeting. NEXT MEETING DATE The specia meeting was set for November 18, 1985 at 6:30 .m. , and DiJulio noted that if necessary the Corporation could meet at an earlier time, in which case proper notice would be given.
