FROM THE KENT PLANNING COMMISSION
Stephanus Rezone from R-3 to R-4
That the Planning Commission recommend to the Kent City Council that
the application filed by Paul and Barbara Stephanus requesting a
zoning classification change from R-3 to R-4 not be approved for
reason that the Planning Commission believes that a R-4 zoning of
this area would not be consistent with the comprehensive plan and
would not be suitable to the existing topography and further believes
that the proposed utilization of the property would intensify traffic
problems in the area and that the approval of such a rezone would not
be in the best interests of the health and welfare of the citizens of
the City of Kent.
Midway Associates Rezone from R-1 to C-3
That the Planning Commission recommend to the Kent City Council that
the application filed by Midway Associates for a change of zoning to
C-3 b . d niel_ This recommendation is made for reason that the Plan-
ning Commission believes that the requested C-3 zoning would not be
compatible with surrounding zonings. The Planning Commission further
recommends that the subject property be considered for a R-4 zoning in
lieu of the requested C-3, for reason that:
(1) That such a zoning would be compatible with the comprehensive
zoning ordinances and would act as a buffer zone between adjacent C-3
and R-1 zones.
(2) That the planned development appears to be the most benefic-
ial use of the property, due to the topography thereof.
(3) That the recommendation here made is made for reason that
the Planning Commission believes that such action would be in the best
interests of the health and welfare of the citizens of the City of Kent.
Burke rezone from M-1 to C-3
That the Planning Commission recommend to the Kent City Council the
approval of the application of Thomas J. Burke for a change of zoning
from M-1 to C-3 for reason that the Planning Commission believes such
action would be in the best interests of the health and welfare of the
citizens of the City of Kent.
