Mr. Bicknell advised that the next item to be considered in publi : hear- ing in connection with the proposed new comprehensive plan ;as a report prepared by Richard Land, wbic,'i highlighted the intent of the present and proposed comproliensive plans . The report , entitled "Plan - jn.c, Objectives Comparison" was read aloud by N11r . Land and incorporated by motion into the record . After brief di- SCILISS ; on by the Coni'mission , the public hearing was opened tic the t report . Ben Nastan, Seattle Attorney , stated he represented the Bon family and that they protested the proposed use designated for their land , as they felt it would de- press the value Of the property . Mr. Bicknell. assured Mr . Vaslan, bis objection on behalf the Bons iNrould be noted and Considered. M 1,. Vlo,-1 Klewan1c , John O ' Rourke , Gilbert Kendall , Annette Mercluan � i,ous Peret'u,' Don Mon-iian and others made comments about the contents of the report . After considerable discussion . the public hearing was closed . N'­ Elide stated he felt the word "provide" on page 10 Of t1i'le report should be changed to "consider" . A motion was made , seconded and carried that "Military Road and Pacific }Iig}: aay South be designated as art(:rial streets fog- their entire course through the City of Kent on the proposed new comprehensive plan" . A motion was made , seconded and carried that : All major through streets in the downtol,m core area of the City of Kent be set forth in the textual material of the proposed new comprehensive plan" . The Chairman noted that it was getting late and noted that the continued hearing cn the proposed new comprehensive plan would be convened again at 7 : 30 p . m. on Tuesday , November 28 , 1967. in the Kent City Hall . NIr. Bicknell noted that the topics to be considered at this continuation of the hearing would he a quadrant discussion of lend uses and density . Mr. Land suggested that some publicity be sought concerning the topics for the next meeting and Mr . Bicknell noted he would attend to this . The meeting adjourned at 10 : 37 p .m.
