PLANNING COT-MISSION

Meeting called to order 7 :30 P, 'I.
Chairman Ed Sipe presiding.
Members present : Frazier, Wieser, Kennedy, Bogard and Bicknell.
Ex-officio members ; Sherwood and Wilke .
Minutes of previous meeting approved as printed.
King County asked for our recommendation on four pieces
King-County of property to be considered at their meeting of
requests Dec . 20th.
1 . Item E-9, Don Farrell, rezone to King County R-•3
south of 214th and west of proposed freeway.
Frazier moved, 2nd by Wieser to recommend approval of
this request. Motion carried.
2. Item E-15, Kenneth Bayer, rezone to King County B-1,
B-P and R-2 south of 208th on east side of Benson Hwy.
ficknell moved, 2nd by Bogard to recommend approval of
this request . Motion carried.
3 . Item E-14, C . B. Isham, zone to King County BN Sc BP
on State Hwy. 5-A and west of 132nd Ave . S. E.
Kennedy moved, 2nd by Frazier to recommend approval of
this request . iaotion carried.
4. Item E-10 , Estate of Anna Anderson, rezone to King
County BP just east of 104th Ave . S . E. and south of
256th St . S. E.
Bicknell moved, 2nd by Wieser to recommend approval of
this request, but, suggest that ingress be allowed fro.
Hwy. 5-A with sorpe arrangement for egress west to 104t.

Bicknell reported on his committea .
They feel that they must have some professional help in order to
obtain the necessary information to have a brochure printed that
would be good appearing and correct .
The Chairman stated that he is still seeking information on our co:ru
ract with Harlan_ Nelson and should have sonethirg definata to roper`.
by next meeting. He would like to ask the City Council to write
the warrant for the balan, e of t.ae Harlan Nelson contract so that t'•.-
r.-oney will come out of the budget this year but, hold the warrant
until satisfied the contract has been fulfilled.
Bic;. ell moved, 2nd by Kennedy we recommend the City Council draw th.
necessary for the Harlan Pelson contract now and hold it until the
ci.L-y Council is satisfied the contract has been fulfilled.

P request was made by the Chairman to decide if we should recommend
State and Woodford Streets be put through to the City Park or if they
should stop where they are now.
A discussion followed in which it was decided that in order for this
property to develop it would be necessary to have these streets
through. Also State Street could act as a frontal strec;t to give
relief to the traffic on Central Ave .
[Wieser moved, 2nd by Bicknell that we recommend the City Council
amend the Comprehensive Plan to show these two streets going through.
Motion carried. Bogard abstained as he has interest in this area.
A short report was given on the proposed mobile home ordinance .
The Zoning Ordinance was discussed regarding public hearings .
There seams to be some conflict in when and who hold public hearings
171fe thought it advisable to get a written opinion from the City
Attorney on this matter.
Bogard moved, 2nd by Frazier to adjourn.
