INTERIM LAND USE & PLANNING BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Leona Orr, Chair Tim Clark Jon Johnson INTERIM LAND USE & PLANNING BOARD MEMBERS ABSENT: None PLANNING STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT: James Harris, Planning Director Fred Satterstrom, Planning Manager Kevin O'Neill, Senior Planner Linda Phillips, Planner • Matt Jackson, GIS Planner Teresa Beener, Administrative Secretary OTHER CITY STAFF PRESENT: Roger Lubovich, City Attorney Bill Wolinski, Water Quality Engineer Supervisor APPROVAL OF MARCH 26. 1996 MINUTES Board member Tim Clark MOVED to approve the minutes from the March 5 meeting. The motion was SECONDED by Board member Jon Johnson. Motion carried ADDED ITEMS TO THE AGENDA Single-family zoning standards. COMMUNICATIONS None. NOTICE OF UPCOMING MEETINGS Next Land Use & Planning Board Public Hearing May 20, 1996 at 7.00 p in. 220 4th AVE SO, /KENT WASHINGTON 98032-5895/TELEPHONE (206)859-3300/FAX#859-3334 Land Use & Planning Board Minutes March 26, 1996 i #ZCA-96-3 DRIVE-UP BANKING IN THE DC ZONE - CONTINUED - (K. O'Neill) Chair Leona Orr presented a letter received from Cascade Community Bank. The letter informed the City of the Bank's decision to abandon its plans to develop the site in question. Board member Tim Clark MOVED to enter the letter from Cascade into public record. The motion was SECONDED by Jon Johnson. Motion carried. Clark MOVED to table this issue. Kent Downtown Partnership representative Linda Johnson informed the Board that she had spoken with Cascade and gave them some material to review regarding untraditional developments on untraditional sites Johnson SECONDED the motion Motion carried. The Land Use & Planning Board members held a workshop then discussed the following item. #ZCA-95-8 SINGLE FAMILY DEVELOPMENT STANDARD - (L. Phillips) Planner Linda Phillips explained to the Board the need to modify the existing Single Family Development standard Ordinance The verbiage needs to be adjusted to clearly define the density and change the name designation to concur with the density allowed. Board member Clark MOVED to add this item to the April 2, 1996, consent calendar so a public hearing could be set for the April 16, 1996 City Council Meeting.
