Motion Carries". Chair Pattison: "Finally is there other business to come before the Commission? Catherine you mentioned there might be something." The Chief Examiner asked for clarification regarding the Word Processing Technician. There were no applications when the job was posted City Wide and she wished to know if the Police Department wanted to go to the General Public right away or to hold off until the Patrol Administrative Assistant position had been filled. Captain Jim Miller stated that the testing for the Administrative Assistant would have to come first but then they would like an Eligibility List established for the Word Processing Technician. The Examiner stated that she could open the Word Processing position immediately and continue working on the Administrative Assistant position as well because the Administrative Assistant position description would have to go before the Commission before the position could be posted. Captain Miller stated for informational purposes that the budgeted position that the department had anticipated hiring for the Word Processor position is no longer in existence. However, they do feel that an Eligibility List needs to be established. Also, that the job posting should reflect that it is to establish an Eligiblity List. Chair Pattison: "Is there any other business to come before the Commission?" There being no further business to come before the Commission Chair Pattison moved to adjourn. Seconded and carried. Adjourned at 8:03 a.m. The next Regular Meeting will be held on Thursday, February 15, 1996 at 8:00 a.m. in Council Chambers West. Respectfully submitted, Catherine M.
