' SPECIAL CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING
MINUTES
Monday, February 27, 1995

Chair Pattison called the meeting to order and noted that this
meeting is in regard to the appeal of Marilyn J. Stone and Sheila
Knapp from the promotional test for lieutenant.
It was determined that there is no challenge to the jurisdiction of
the Commission to hear this matter, that the hearing date was
announced by the Commission at it's February 16, 1995 meeting and
that there is no reason why the Commission should not proceed with
this hearing.
• DiJulio noted that a binder of materials has been prepared and
presented to the Commission. After comments from Sampson and
DiJulio regarding some of the contents, it was moved and seconded
that disclosure not be allowed at this point. The motion carried.
After comments from DiJulio regarding dismissal of this proceeding,
Pattison moved that to take the motion to dismiss under advisement
and deliberate on it after the hearing is closed. The motion was
seconded and carried.
Opening statements were heard.
Witnesses were called.
Closing arguments were heard.
At 11: 15 a.m. , Chair Pattison moved that the hearing be closed.
The motion was seconded and carried. Pattison noted that a written
decision will be rendered on or before March 9, 1995.
