CIVIL SERICE COMMISSION
MINUTES
March 16, 1989
Members present: Bob Jarvis, Chairman
Robb Dreblow

Candi Faupell, Commission Secretary
The meeting was called to order at 8: 10 a.m. by Chairman Jarvis.
REPORTS
Personnel Director, Mike Webby - no report
Police Chief, Rod Frederiksen - no report
Fire Chief, Norm Angelo - reported all candidates were
testing extremely high; the joint testing meetings were
being well attended and major improvements in the joint
ventures upgrade program would soon be taking place.
OLD BUSINESS
Chairman Jarvis moved to approve the minutes of the February 23,
1989 and March 10, 1989 meeting. Seconded by Mr. Dreblow.
Motion carried.
Chairman Jarvis entered a motion to accept into the record a memo
from Assistant Fire Chief Aldridge noting the promotion of
Patrick Pawlak to Firefighter 1st Class. Mr. Dreblow seconded,
motion carried.
Chairman Jarvis entered a motion to accept into the record a memo
from Chief Angelo regarding the resignation of Firefighter Peter
Conway. Mr. Dreblow seconded, motion carried.
No other old business.

• NEW BUSINESS
Chairman Jarvis entered a motion to accept into the record a memo
from Chief Angelo regarding the promotion of Dale Robertson to
Probationary Battalion Chief. Mr. Dreblow seconded, motion
carried.
Secretary presented three letters from Rod Frederiksen, Chief of
Police, notifying officers Laine W. Farr, Patricia M. King, and
Marvin L. Wilson of their successful completion of the twelve
(12) month probationary period and appointment to regular
employment status. Mr. Dreblow entered a motion that these
letters be accepted into the record. Chairman Jarvis seconded,
motion carried.
Next regular meeting date is scheduled for April loth at 8 : 00
a.m. in the Council Chambers.
Meeting adjourned at 8: 13 a.m.
