Street Mi ele G. Hinz Chairman CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES 12/17/87 The regular meeting was called to order 8:00 a.m. by Chairman T. Richard Ried. In attendance: Commissioners Michele G. Hinz and Joseph A. Street and Administrative Assistant Webby. Assistant Chief Aldridge and Battalion Chief Fronsdahl appeared at the conclusion of the meeting. Mr. Street moved to approve the minutes of November 19, 1987 as submitted. Ms. Hinz seconded and the motion carried. Ms. Hinz moved, Mr. Street seconded, to approve the Probationary Firefighter eligibility list as follows: Steven W. Parsons John C. Mount Adam T. Wingert Christopher J. Piper Scott W. Howard Kurt H. Secretary reported there are 29 eligible applicants for the Police Lateral Entry Exam with the health assessment scheduled for January 19, 1988 at the Kent Commons. She confirmed for Chairman that there is no opening for any position at the present time. Secretary also reported that the City Attorney has been unable to meet with Chief Angelo and Chief Frederiksen due to her busy schedule but will proceed to do so to work on Rule X, "Re-examination". Assistant Chief Aldridge requested the extension of the Fire Battalion Chief eligibility list for 6 months. Mr. Street moved to extend the Battalion Chief eligibility list for 6 months which will be June 18, 1988. Ms. Hinz seconded and the motion carried. The next meeting will be January 21 , 1988 at 8:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers. • With no further business, Ms. Hinz moved, Mr. Street seconded, to adjourn the meeting.
