HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Committees - Civil Services Commission - 03/25/1980 KENT CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES 6,1 March 25, 1980 This special meeting was called to order by Chairman T. Richard Ried at the Police Department. In attendance were Commissioners Donald Whitener and Terry Yahn and Chief Skewes. Chief Skewes recommended using the Reading and Writing scores in the recent Law Enforcement Officer examination to establish a minimum passing score and that the P.A.F. scores be used to help the clinical psychologist. A motion was made by Commissioner Yahn to follow Chief Skewes recommendation to establish the minimum passing score by using the Reading and Writing scores and the P.A.F. scores to be used by the clinical psychologist as a tool in his evaluation of the candidates. Seconded by Commissioner Whitener. Motion carried. It was moved and seconded to amend the motion by certifying the list as an Eligibility List. Motion carried. Chief Skewes reported that he and the Secretary have begun working on the Sergeant's examination which will be presented at the next regular meeting for approval. Meeting adjourned.
