HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Committees - Civil Services Commission - 04/19/1978 CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION April 19, 1978 A special meeting of the Civil Service Commission was called at 7:30 p,m. at Kent Fire Station Headquarters. In attendance were: Norwood Cunningham, Richard Hied, Don Whitener, Lieutenant Boudreau and Robert Ransom and Ms. Pat Ward of the Ransom Testing Co. , Seattle, a private consulting firm. This special meeting was called to hear the presentation given by Mr. Ransom regarding his tests and testing procedures. The test consists of four parts: Verbal fluency, reasoning and deductions, police community attitude and tape (problem solving). The basic price is $800 for up to 200 applicants plus $2.50 for each over 200. The firm would monitor the administration of the test, score and send back the results of the test.
