CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MINUTES April 21, 1976
The regular meeting of the Civil Service Commssion was held
on April 21, 1976. Present were Hal Cline, Ken Yah;, Norwood
Cunningham, Chief Foster, Chief McQuery and Officer Haysom.
The minutes of the meetings of March 18, April 1, and April 8
continued to April 16 were approved.
A motion was made and seconded to approve the resume' screening
guide and to direct the secretary to have it reproduced in an
adequate amount. Motion carried.
A motion was made and seconded to use a system of 0 to 25 for
scoring the resume' appraisal form. Motion carried. A motion
was made and seconded to approve the resume' appraisal form
as corrected with the scoring system as approved above. Motion
carried.
A motion was made and seconded that the written examination for
the ten finalists and the polygraph test for the top three
finalists will be score by applicant number only. Motion
carried.
A motion was made and seconded to approve a 50 point scoring
system for the oral interview and a 25 point scoring system
for the written' exam and the resume' appraisal. . Motion
carried.
A motion was made and seconded to authorize the secretary to
tabulate the departments represented among the applicants and
notify Chief McQuery before he contacts other departments for
suggestions for members of the oral interview board. Motion
carried.
A letter was read from Chief McQuery authorizing a leave of
absence without pay for Police Clerk Joyce Blakly.
The next meeting will be held on Monday, May 3, 1976 at
3:30 P.M. at Meekers Landing. ± This meeting will be an
executive session only to consider the applicants resume's
and the questions for the written examination.
